Using Emergy Analysis in Ethnographic Field Research

A methodology derived from Howard T. Odum's theory is described for the collection and analysis of ecological and sociological data. This methodology allows for a detailed and systematic analysis of how human populations interact with their environmental settings via resource exchanges. Some research results are offered as examples.
